Alejandra Santillanes
Flute Teaching Artist
Alejandra Santillanes is a Mexican-American concert flutist based in Baltimore, MD. A passionate and dedicated educator, she maintains a private teaching studio, is a teaching artist online with Musicians for the World, and the Flute and Musicianship Teaching Fellow with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s OrchKids Program. As a collaborator and performer, Alejandra serves as flutist of Boston’s CODA Ensemble, and is an alumni of the Virtual Flute Music Festival and the Domaine Forget International Music Festival in Quebec, where she has performed for flutists such as Emmanuel Pahud, James Walker, Demarre McGill, and Sonora Slocum. Alejandra received her Master’s degree at The Boston Conservatory, and earned her Bachelor’s degree at Florida Southern College. Her primary teachers and mentors include Elizabeth Rowe, Linda Toote, and Colleen Blagov.
