Projects and Performances

On May 17, 2023, OrchKids held its 15-Year Celebration Concert at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Enjoy this playlist of all the performances from that night!

In the Fall and Winter of 2021, OrchKids students from all our after-school sites worked towards a recorded performance of a medley of holiday songs arranged by OrchKids Director of Education Danielle Williams.

OrchKids embarked on a fact-finding and inspiration-seeking journey, guided through the writings of Elaine Weiss and Dr. Martha Jones, to discover the intricate and contentious element of racism throughout the Suffrage Movement. While OrchKids students created an original composition, Johns Hopkins University film students gathered imagery to compliment the composition creating a special audio/visual presentation that informs - and at times challenges - our understanding of the history of the 19th Amendment and its effect on female empowerment today.

Enjoy this OrchKids performance from TEDxBaltimore 2013.

In 2013, OrchKids performed along with the BSO at the Baltimore Ravens Thanksgiving game. The collaboration included a tour of the Ravens' facility for OrchKids students and a performance at a Ravens' practice.

OrchKids joined the BSO onstage at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall for a performance of Ravel's Bolero during the BSO's centennial concert in February 2016.

After the unrest in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray in 2015, OrchKids responded musically with a call for unity in our city.
