As the current OrchKids Manager of Programs, Devin is opening the hearts and minds of Baltimore youth, reminding them that no dream is too big and to always fuel the imagination. Devin knows first-hand the love and joy that comes with being involved in the arts. For several years, Devin has helped thousands of students to connect through music, teaching them the power of self-love, expression, and determination. Devin began teaching music in Dinwiddie County, Virginia as a choral director. After teaching in the Dinwiddie County Public School System for a few years, Devin then relocated to his hometown, Baltimore, MD, to pursue more advanced career and educational opportunities. He then moved on to teach music throughout the DMV for several years, gaining experience in arts administration and non-profit work. In addition to being a music educator, Devin is also a professional vocalist, song-writer, and aspiring entrepreneur.

Although music education has been at the forefront of Devin’s career, he is adamant about continuous evolution and finding new ways to express his love for the arts. Devin is currently working on his first EP, Let Truth Be Told, which he hopes will reinforce powerful messages and resonate with the lives of many. Devin’s educational background in music education and vocal performance is not only a testament to his passion for the arts, but also an indicator of dedication and perseverance. While understanding his journey, he often says to himself – “don’t take life too seriously and have fun. Don’t waste your time on things that your ego will try to convince you are important.” As Devin evolves as a musician, music educator, and leader, he focuses on the trajectory of his community and the development of the youth; with a mission to spark the mind of a thinker.
