Heidi Schultz
Oboe Teaching Artist
Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Heidi holds music degrees from the University of Kansas, Northwestern University, and from the Peabody Conservatory of Music.
Currently residing in Severn, Maryland, she is the Co-Principal Oboe and English Horn with the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra and Principal English Horn with the Maryland Winds. Heidi has performed with numerous professional orchestras including Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Civic Orchestra, American Wind symphony, Maryland Philharmonic Orchestra, Bach in Baltimore and the Ohio Light Opera. She has toured and recorded in Europe with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the American Wind Symphony. A Navy Veteran, she was the Principal Oboist with the U.S. Naval Academy Band for eight years. Heidi Schultz is in constant demand as a performer with per service orchestras and for religious services throughout the state of Maryland and Delaware.
Heidi has been teaching private oboe lessons for over 35 years throughout the United States. She has a private studio of oboe students from throughout central Maryland. Heidi is the adjunct Oboe instructor at Washington College and has previously taught at the Friends School of Baltimore, the PVA program at Broadneck High School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and the Severn School, Severna Park, Maryland.
