Welcoming New Schools in Year 17

OrchKids is gearing up for the 2024-2025 school year where we will celebrate 17 years of providing high-quality music education and impactful opportunities to Baltimore students. This year brings exciting growth as the program expands to nine sites across Baltimore, adding Henderson-Hopkins and Dorothy I. Height Elementary School to the OrchKids family. With this expansion, the program is projected to serve well over 2,000 students through both the in-school and after-school program models.

The addition of Henderson-Hopkins and Dorothy Heights Elementary School to the OrchKids east and west program networks is a significant step in our commitment to making music education accessible to more students. At these new sites, students will receive musicianship programming during the school day and have the opportunity to integrate into the after-school model where they can begin their instrumental studies. OrchKids' in-school and after-school models work together to provide a consistent, immersive musical pathway for students from pre-kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, and beyond.

With the expected increase in student enrollment, OrchKids continues to be a beacon of opportunity for Baltimore youth. The program's dedication to expanding its reach and impact underscores its commitment to nurturing a love of music and empowering the next generation of artists and leaders.
